Prom

Okay so I was just thinking about something one of my teachers said. He said that he hates promposals and thinks that they disgrace and mock marriage proposals. Honestly, I kinda jumped on that bandwagon for a bit. But then I got thinking... Whats so bad about them? Marriage proposals were originally used as a merger between families for economic or social gain and not for love. And I'm not bashing marriage proposals but you are ASKING someone to marry you. Its up to you if its extravagant or not. Same with a promposal. You are ASKING someone to go to prom. And those can be extravagant or not. I don't think teenagers are disgracing or mocking marriage promposals at all. the word proposal, by the Merriam Webster dictionary, is "something (such as a plan or suggestion) that is presented to a person or group of people to consider."

So that is my thought today. I wish I had thought about this earlier and discussed this with my teacher.

And if anyone was wondering, the image above was from my promposal. My best friend used different items from out numerous adventures to spell out prom. And I said yes!
